Sensex ends 28 pts up as RIL, L&T scrips surge Wednesday, September 6 2006 16:33 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

In choppy trade, the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex, today (Sept 6, 2006) closed over 28 points higher on the back of buying by funds and retail investors in blue-chip stocks.
The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) which had lost 9.61 points yesterday, recovered by 28.61 points at 11,933.21 points largely on the back of a strong rally in heavy-weight stocks of Reliance Industries, Larsen and Toubro and State Bank of India stocks toward the middle of the session.
It touched a high of 11,983.48 points and low of 11,904.92 points during the session on alternate bouts of buying and selling.
Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty ended in positive zone with a rise of 3.50 points at 3,477.25, after moving between 3,490.70 and 3,465.80 points.
