Stock market ends 43.29 pts up in volatile trade Friday, August 11 2006 18:29 Hrs (IST) - World Time -  Mumbai:
In choppy trade, the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark, Sensex, today (Aug 11, 2006) gained 0.39 per cent on alternate bouts of buying and selling.
The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex), climbed to 11,241.11 points in early trade on heavy buying in index-related stocks but slipped back partially to close 43.29 points higher at 11,192.46 points. It also touched the session's low of 11,069.25 points.
Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index, Nifty rose by 14.25 points at 3,274.35 points after moving between 3,286.50 and 3,236.95 points.
Trading was brisk in Reliance Industries, which again crossed Rs 1,000 mark to touch the day's high of Rs 1,015 before closing Rs 31.10 higher at Rs 1,011.15.
