India's forex reserves increased by US$ 675 million to stand at US$ 164.023 billion during the week ended July 28 as against US$ 163.348 billion in the week ended July 21.
The reserves had increased by US$ 689 million during the proceeding week ended July 21, compared to the week-ago period.
Foreign currency assets increased by US$ 673 million to US$ 157.071 billion during the seven-day period ended July 28, according to figures released by the Reserve Bank of India.
Foreign currency assets in dollars include the effect of revaluation of non-US currencies such as Euro, Sterling, Yen held in reserves.
Reserve position in the IMF stands at US$ 765 million.
Gold reserves as well as SDRs remained static at 6.18 billion and Rs 33 crore respectively.
