The benchmark Sensex extended previous day's weakness by opening lower by 65 points on the Bombay Stock Exchange today(June 21, 2006) on sustained selling by funds.
The Sensex traded lower by 64.98 points at 9757.54 in first five minute of trade. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index nifty commenced lower by 24.90 points at 2836.40.
Major puller to the indices were Infosys, Hero Honda, Bajaj Auto, ONGC, Bharti Airtel, Housing Development Financial Corporation and State Bank of India.
