Sensex surges over by 400 points in early trade Friday, June 16 2006 10:30 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

The solid gains extended in early trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange today (June 16, 2006) as benchmark Sensex surged over 400 points on heavy buying by foreign as well as domestic funds.
The Sensex, which recorded a biggest ever gain of 615 points yesterday, shot up by 403.41 points at 9948.47 in first ten minutes of trade.
In similar manner, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty shot up by 112.10 points at 2910.90.
The buying activity by foreign funds was influenced by firming global stock markets.
