Mumbai:
Tracking the weak global trend, the stock markets continued their downslide and showed a fresh fall of 396 points in the first five minutes of trading today (June 13,2006).
The market sentiment was adversely affected by a sharp fall in commodity prices on the LME and in stocks on Wall Street last night.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) opened sharply lower at 9,360.06 and dropped further to 9,079.92, a loss of 396.23 points from previous close of 9,476.15.
