Rupee further down against US dollar in trade
Thursday, June 8 2006 11:34 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Mumbai: The Rupee continued to seek lower level against the US dollar at opening on renewed dollar demand coupled with firm dollar against world currencies

Lack of FIIs inflows into the stock market also dampened the rupee sentiment.

In active trading at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market, the rupee started sharply lower at Rs 45.99/46.02 per dollar as against yesterday's close of Rs 45.96/97 per dollar.

Rupee continued to fall as dollar demand increased and was quoted at Rs 46.01/03 per dollar, sharply lower than yesterday's close.
