The benchmark Sensex gained 101.05 points at 10552.38 in early trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange today (June 5, 2006) on heavy buying by funds.
The Sensex rose by 101.05 at 10552.38 point in first five minutes of trade. Similarly, the wide-base National Stock Exchange index Nifty rose by 33.05 points at 3125.40.
The buying activities were more focused on index heavy weights like Wipro, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Larsen and Toubro and Hero Honda.
