The stock markets witnessed high volatility during the initial five minutes of the trade today (May 30, 2006) and was 19 points up at 10 am amid alternate bouts of buying and selling by institutional investors.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) opened on a promising note at 10,886.61 and later fluctuated widely in a range of 10,916.56 and 10,768.98 before being quoted at 10,871.90, up by 18.76 points over previous
close of 10,853.14.
Brokers, however anticipated selling pressure in the latter part of trading.
