The Bombay Stock Exchange Benchmark 30-share Index (Sensex) today (May 15, 2006) opened moderately lower and later tumbled to a low of 12,187.66 points, a loss of over 118 points, a few minutes after trading began.
Extending its losses to third straight session, the Sensex opened weak at 12,272.64 points from Friday's close of 12,285.11 and later slided down to a low of 12,166.84 points.
The Sensex had fallen by more than 327 points in the last two trading sessions.
