Mumbai:
The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark index (Sensex) tanks by 153 points at noon today (May 15,2006) on brisk selling by funds and market participants in bluechip stocks.
The Sensex trades lower by 152.90 points at 12,132.21 points at 12:30 hrs, in continuance of 150 points fall on Friday.
Similarly, the National Stock Exchange Index plunges by 48.60 points at 3,601.45 points.
Heavyweights like Reliance Industries, Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC), Infosys, Bharat Heavy Electronics Limited (BHEL), Grasim Industries, Tata Steel and Larsen and Toubro (L&T) mainly dragged down the Sensex.
