Jerusalem:
Israeli firm VocalTec Communications Ltd, a leading global provider of carrier-class multimedia and voice-over-IP solutions for communication service providers, has won a major contract from an unnamed Indian government telecom organisation, sources said.
The telecom organisation intends to present VocalTec's Essentra(TM) product family to customers in India, it said.
The Essentra(TM) suite of solutions from the Nasdaq listed company provides trunking, peering, access gateway and service delivery solutions that enable flexible deployment of next-generation networks (NGNs), facilitating the smooth migration of voice networks from TDM to ATM and IP.
"We are excited about the potential of the partnership with the government organisation and the potential of the market in India for our carrier class VIP products", said Edu Meytal, Vice President (Sales).
"We view this government organisation as a long-term partner, and look forward to expanding this relationship and our presence in India," Meytal added.
