Mumbai: The benchmark Sensex remained bullish and touch a new peak of 10,666.91 in early trade today(Mar 2,2006) on agressive buying by foreign and domestic funds.

The Sensex gained 101.44 to reach 10.666.91 in first five minutes of trading. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty reached a record high of 3152.85, gaining 29.75 points.

The buying was wide-based and shares of all segments gained noteble ground.

The major sport gain from shares like Reliance Ind, Tata steel, Maruti Udyou, Grasim and Infosys tech.
