Bangalore: PMC-Sierra, Inc, a leading provider of broadband communications and storage semiconductors, today (Jan 12, 2006) announced it has established a new technology center in Bangalore.

Arun Bellary has been appointed PMC-Sierra's Managing Director for India and will be responsible for overall operations and the development of this center, it said in a release here.

"India is emerging as a leading technological center and we are planning to hire approximately 40 to 50 people in 2006 as we launch our operation," said Mob Bailey, PMC-Sierra's chairman and CEO.
