Wipro acquires mPower, MPACT in $28 million deal
Wipro Limited today (Dec 22, 2005) said it has acquired US-based mPower Inc, a niche company focussed on payment space, and MPACT Technology Services in Chennai for an all cash deal of USD 28 million.

LogicaCMG to develop global navigation satellite
LogicaCMG today (Dec 22, 2005) said it has won a contract valued at six million Euros from EADS Astrium to develop the facility that will control the Galileo constellation, Europe's own global navigation satellite system.

Oil PSUs revenue loss to double this fiscal: Aiyar
Revenue loss suffered by public sector oil retailing firms on sale of petrol, diesel, LPG and kerosene below their production cost will almost double to Rs 38,154 crore this fiscal, the Lok Sabha was informed today (Dec 22, 2005). "The estimated under-recoveries (on sale of fuel) was Rs 9,274 crore for 2003-04 and Rs 20,146 crore for 2004-05, which is projected to rise to Rs 38,154 crore during the current year," Petroleum Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar said in reply to a question.

Sensex gains fresh ground, higher by 33 points
The sensex today (Dec 22, 2005) gained fresh ground and recovered by 33 points on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on good buying, mainly by Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) and to some extent, operators and retail investors also joined in the buying spree.
