Bangalore: LogicaCMG today (Dec 16, 2005) said it has been awarded the coveted BS7799-2:2002 certification for its facilities in Bangalore from Det Norske Veritas (DNV), one of the world's leading certification bodies.

The scope of the certification covers provision of application management and development, support, data processing and business process outsourcing, including personal information as per the latest statement of applicability, a LogicaCMG release said.

The internationally recognised standards, BS7799 and ISO/IEC 17799, define rules regarding the confidential handling of company information and provide advice as to how to identify, manage and minimise the security threats to corporate and customer information, it said.
