Mumbai: Reliance Industries Ltd Chairman Mukesh Ambani today (Dec 9, 2005) declined to comment on the Bombay High Court's approval of the demerger scheme of the company.

"Please, this is not the time. No comments," said Ambani when reporters asked for his reaction on the High Court decision on the sidelines of a panel discussion on global scenarios conference.

Earlier in the day, Bombay High Court approved the demerger scheme of RIL, three months after the company filed a petition seeking changes in its shareholding pattern as part of settlement between Ambani brothers, Mukesh and Anil.

Rejecting objections raised by a minority shareholder, Justice Nishita Mhatre approved the demerger scheme.
