Wednesday, November 30 2005 18:43 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Mumbai: Market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) today (Nov 30, 2005) declined to comment on media reports indicating that it had asked Ambani siblings, Mukesh and Anil, to share details about Reliance group's proposed demerger scheme.

"We do not comment on (matters pertaining to) individual companies," a SEBI official said.

Earlier, during the day media reports said that SEBI has written letters to the Ambani brothers asking them to submit the details on calculation of demerger ratio of Reliance group and also to share the sequence of events.

The report also said that SEBI has asked the two brothers on timing of the demerger announcement.

When contacted, a top Reliance Industries (RIL) official said that he was not aware of any such communication from SEBI.
