Sahara pays Rs 2500 to passengers for inconvenience

Kolkata: Seventy passengers of a Sahara Airlines flight onboard to Kolkata from Mumbai, who complained about poor arrangements for food and accommodation of Lucknow after the aircraft was diverted there were paid Rs 2500 each yesterday (Nov 24, 2005) by the carrier.

Airlines sources here said that the passengers had demonstrated at the Lucknow airport yesterday morning complaining about poor food and accommodation after the flight was diverted there as it could not land here because of fog.

The passengers were brought here today and were paid Rs 2500 each for the inconvenience caused, the sources said.
