London: Air Deccan, India's No 1 low cost Airline has constantly been pursuing its vision of 'empowering every Indian to fly'. The airline does so by providing lowest airfares and connecting unconnected cities.

Air Deccan on Nov 23, 2005 received an award for the best 'Aircraft leasing deal of the Year- Asia 2005' at a glittering ceremony at the 06th Janes Annual transport finance Gala Awards, held at the Prestigious Merchant Taylors Hall, London, UK. The award was for innovative structuring and financing the lease of two of the Airbus A-320's.

The lease was financed by Standard chartered Bank and Investec Bank Mauritius Ltd. The Ceremony was attended by leading Bankers from Citigroup, Standard Chartered Bank, BNP Paribas, Caylon Bank etc.
