Software and services firm Autodesk, Inc. has announced the formation of the APac Emerging Geo, encompassing India and Greater China (China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.)
In keeping with the company's growing priority to India, the formation of the new region would give the rapidly growing Asia - Pacific zone the best possible support, an Autodesk statement said.
Autodesk is committed to deploying more resources and enhanced best practices to leverage the full potential of the Indian market and to work closely with its customers, helping them derive the maximum benefit from their software investments, it said.
Autodesk, recognising the growing role of India as an important, emerging global business destination, critical to their global growth, would be announcing further investments and market development strategies for the country, the statement said.
Dr Jack Gao, who has been appointed Vice President for the APac Emerging Geo will report directly to Autodesk's headquarters in San Rafael, United States, it said.
