Air Deccan daily flights connect Chandigarh-Jammu
Wednesday, November 2 2005 11:24 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Bangalore: Air Deccan, India's first low cost carrier announced the launch of its direct flights from Chandigarh to Jammu and back starting 31st October 2005.

Chandigarh and Jammu currently are not connected by either train or air and for the first time ever; Air Deccan would be launching direct daily flights on this route. Bookings are open for travel between 31st October 2005 and 31st January 2006.

Capt Gopinath commented, "There has been a persistent demand from our travellers for a connection from Chandigarh to Jammu. Since, there is no train or air connectivity from Chandigarh to Jammu one has to travel all the way to Ambala to take a train up to Jammu.

This new flight will especially facilitate Vaishno Devi bound passengers, since they would now be able to reach much faster and fly at fares as low as 2nd AC train fares".
