SAP releases 28 new versions for midsize ventures

Bangalore: SAP AG today (Oct 19, 2005) unveiled new versions of its fixed-scope, pre-defined packages of software and services, targeted at software deployment requirements of midsize enterprises.

Based on mySAP ERP, the SAP Best Practices offerings are available in 28 scenarios addressing the demands of midsize enterprises in industries as diverse as retail, utilities and the public sector, a company statement said.

The pre configured offerings are enhanced with new tools designed to help customers achieve faster implementation times and higher business flexibility while lowering risks, the business software solutions provider said.

"SAP Best Practices include a clear, step-by-step methodology, reusable documentation and complete pre configuration setting that provide everything needed to run specific key processes 'out of the box' for a lean installation", according to the statement.

SAP Best Practices are designed to meet the resource, price and industry requirement of midsize enterprises while laying a scalable foundation for business growth, it was stated.
