Bangalore: IT services company MindTree Consulting today (Oct 18, 2005) announced the launch of its 'CIO Toolkit', an 'innovative' service suite for CIOs of leading organisations.

"The new collection of intense workshop sessions will help CIOs better handle leadership challenges by leveraging highly effective training and development modules, rigorous methodologies and advanced technology solutions," a company statement said.

"The CIO Toolkit addresses the crucial needs of today's CIOs," said Subroto Bagchi, COO of MindTree Consulting. "The role of the Chief Information Officer in the past two decades has experienced paradigm shifts, especially as technology grows in strategic importance within an organisation. A CIO's success is no longer based solely on technical competency, but increasingly so on an ability to lead, innovate and manage."

MindTree said it has worked with a number of leading organisations, including IATA, Emirates Airlines, Volvo and Burger King who have successfully completed a few Toolkit sessions.
