Stock Market ends flat in extremely volatile trade
The stocks market today (Oct 17, 2005) managed to end flat in extremely volatile trade after it witnessed heavy battering for two days, select key counters found support from Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) amid appreciating dollar and possibility of further US rate hike.

Aiyar alleges 'foul play' in PetroKazakhstan tender
Petroleum Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar today (Oct 17, 2005) charged investment banker Goldman Sach with 'foul play' in the auction of PetroKazakhstan, saying India's ONGC Videsh-Mittal combine had bid higher than China's CNPC but the Chinese were given 'unfair' chance to revise their bid.
