Stock market bounces back; Sensex up by 57 points
The stock market bounced back from the day's low and even ended 57 points up over last close on late shortcovering prompted by positive Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) activity on Monday (Oct 10, 2005) coupled with announcement of excellent Q2 working results by Infosys Technologies.

Infosys Technologies Ltd., reported a 36 percent rise in its net profit for the second quarter ended September 30.

Software major Infosys today (Oct 11, 2005) reported a net profit of Rs 606 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2005, a year-on-year growth of 35.57 per cent.
