Apex Court issues notice to BSNL on Tata's appeal Monday, October 3 2005 13:09 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Supreme Court today (Oct 03, 2005) issued a notice to BSNL on an appeal by Tata Teleservices Ltd seeking a stay on an estimated Rs 250 crore demand on account of Access Deficit Charge.
A bench comprising Justice Arijit Pasayat and Justice Arun Kumar sought a reply from BSNL within two weeks asking them not to disconnect the interconnectivity.
The court said there will be no encashment of bank guarantee given by Tata and asked the company (Tata Teleservices Ltd and Tata Teleservices Maharashtra) to deposit Rs 10 crore each.
