Solar activity forces BSE to change trading timings Monday, September 26 2005 14:03 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Mumbai:
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) have decided to change their trading timings from today (Sept 26, 2005) till October 7, as VSAT services might get disrupted during this period due to heavy solar activity.
Trading in both NSE and BSE will start as usual at 9.55 am and close at 4.40 pm, while trading in derivatives segment at NSE will close at 4.55 pm.
There will be no trading from 11.25 am to 12.00 noon as trading members may face loss of connectivity due to sun outage during this time, both the exchanges said.
