Bangalore: MetricStream Inc., today (Sept 19, 2005) announced that Nektar Therapeutics has selected it to automate its exceptions management and corrective actions processes to enable the latter to scale while sustaining GMP/FDA compliance.

Nektar will deploy MetricStream's QualityStream solution for managing its product and process related exceptions reporting and investigation and for developing and executing corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans, a MetricStream release said.

The web-based system will replace manual, paper-based systems currently used to manage these processes, and will provide reports on exceptions and CAPAs and results to the Nektar management. The system will be compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements for electronic records and information systems, it said.
