Ahmedabad: The Central Excise is understood to have issued a demand notice to the tune of over Rs 10,000 crores to Reliance petroleum refinery in Jamnagar district of Gujarat.

The notice was issued by officials of Central Excise to the refinery for alleged non-payment of surcharge on its petroleum by-products for the past five years.
