India pegs FDI in telecom at 49 per cent at WTO
India has pegged FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) in telecom at 49 per cent at the WTO (World Trade Organisation) in its just submitted revised services offer in the wake of certain concerns expressed by the Communications Ministry over higher binding rate.

Oil ministry moots excise duty to soften oil prices
The Petroleum Ministry has proposed an increase of Rs 1-2 per litre in petrol and diesel prices and cut in excise duty on them to offset the impact of surging global oil prices.
