Bangalore: Ford India today (Aug 10, 2005)announced the appointment of V Sivaramakrishnan as Vice-President of marketing, sales and service.

He takes over from Vinay Piparsania who is moving to Thailand to take up an International assignment with the Ford operations in the region, according to a company statement.

Sivaramakrishnan was earlier the General Manager, Sales and Distributions Launch Leader. He played a pivotal role in the launch of the Ford Ikon and subsequently in strategically developing the distribution roadmap across the country, the statement said.

As Distribution Launch Leader, his responsibilities also included managing Ford India's network preparedness and market readiness for new model launches, it said.
