Infosys Technologies Ltd. and Oracle Asia Pacific today (July 21, 2005) reiterated their commitment to jointly address the business needs of customers in the hi-tech manufacturing and financial services sectors in the Asia Pacific region.
Commenting on the joint initiatives and relationship, Derek Williams, Executive Vice President, Oracle Asia Pacific, said, "Infosys is a strategic global partner for Oracle and we strongly value this partnership because of their rich domain understanding, expertise in building software solutions and execution excellence".
"The synergies between the two companies, together with Infosys' strong business process knowledge and Oracle's product innovation, will result in lower operating costs and improved focus to address the business needs of our Asia Pacific and global customers," he added.
According to an Infosys statement, both organizations have experience helping Asia Pacific customers in the hi-tech, manufacturing and financial services sectors, especially in Japan, China and Australia, to effectively manage IT and business systems.
The two companies are working together to provide a solution based on Oracle 10g technology for banks and financial institutions in Japan, as an alternative to mainframe technology.
The partnership will address the business needs of global hi-tech and manufacturing companies in China through solutions based on the Oracle E-Business Suite.
One such joint initiative is a solution based on Oracle E-Business Suite to address the financial and manufacturing process needs of United States-based Company, RAE Systems.
RAE Systems is a leading global developer and manufacturer of rapidly deployable chemical and radiation detection monitors, as well as multi-sensor networks for homeland security and industrial applications, the statement said.
In Australia, the two organizations will jointly offer solutions based on the latest financial services applications in the Oracle E-Business Suite, including lease management and
Oracle Financial Services Applications, it said.
