Wipro becomes HP's first Indian GSI partner

Bangalore: : Leading technology solutions provider, HP today announced Wipro as its first Indian Global System Integration (GSI) partner.

"HP has decided to strengthen its alliance with Wipro by extending the system integration partnership to HP's entire portfolio of HP open view suite of software", Sandeep Johri, VP Strategy and Planning, Management Software Business Unit, Hewlett Packard told reporters here.

Under this alliance, HP and Wipro, will together maximise opportunities in the market to deliver Remote Management Services, Sytem Intergration and IT infrastructure Library consulting, using HP openview management software for global customers, he said.

Wipro will be HP's new GSI partner also along with Cap Gemini and Aceenture for HP software.

The partnership will help leverage Wipro's large open view skill pool at Bangalore and accessibility to each other's customers as well, he said.

The focus would now be on Middle East countries (where Wipro already has a presence) and Europe, outside Pan Asia.

The partnership is expected to ensure augmented revenues and growth within the next three years, he said.

"Wipro, will be the key implementation partner for HP's entire portfolio open view system and the alliance will bring business one step closer to becoming adaptive enterprises by synchronising business with IT to capitalise on the change", he said.

HP has also introduced two innovative software products that help enterprises extend control over their business operations and IT in India, Amit Chatterjee, country manager said.
