Sensex opens weak; recovers during early trading

Mumbai: The Sensex today (Jun 27, 2005) opened weak, but soon recovered on fresh buying activity at the opening session on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and was quoted 28 points higher at 10:30 hrs (IST).

The BSE benchmark 30-share sensitive index opens weak at 7136.39 as against last Friday's (Jun 24, 2005) close of 7148.62.

Thereafter, it recovered smartly and after touching a high of 7195.49 was quoted at 7176.55 at 10:30 hrs (IST), showing a gain of 27.93 points over the previous close.

The firm spots at the early trading were Relcapt 9.65, IPCL 9.16, GNFC 8.65, Torrent 6.51, Guj gas 6.57, GIPCL 4.66, Pidilite 4.59 and Rolta 4.36.
