Bangalore: Perforce Software Inc., today (Jun 20, 2005) announced a partnership to distribute Perforce, the 'fast software configuration management system', through Parrus IT Solutions in India.

Based in Bangalore, Parrus IT is a provider of IT solutions and will distribute and support Perforce in India as part of its product offering. Parrus IT serves all India, with regional offices in Noida, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai, a Perforce statement said.

Perforce tracks and manages changes to source code and digital assets for the software development process. Tailored for speed in distributed environments, Perforce plays a 'critical role' in quality software development, it said.

"India is among the fastest-growing markets in the Asia/Pacific region and a very promising area for us," said COO of Perforce Software Nigel Chanter.

"Our partnership with Parrus provides Perforce users in India with local support, and enables us to expand our global reach while still being true to our best-of-breed philosophy".
