The 3,740 MW power project in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh will receive gas supply from Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).
The Dadri power project will receive gas supply from RIL, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Energy Ltd (REL) Anil Ambani said while speaking at the company's annual general meeting (AGM) in Mumbai today (Jun 8, 2005).
The plant would be commissioned by 2008-09, he added.
The project cost is estimated around Rs 10,000 crore.

REL also announced plans to set up a 12,000 MW power plant at Orissa with an investment of Rs 48,000 crore.
"REL has initiated steps to set up a ultra-mega 12,000 MW power plant at an investment of Rs 48,000 crore," Anil Ambani said today.
It would be the world's largest pit-head power plant at a single location.
REL has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra Government for setting up a 4,000 MW combined cycle plant in the State, which would mainly serve Mumbai and Maharashtra, he said.
