FIIs record net sale of Rs 150.1 crore in equities Sunday, May 15 2005 11:06 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) recorded net sales of Rs 150.1 crore ($ 34.4 million) in equities for the trading week ended May 13 while mutual funds (MFs) were net purchasers at Rs 662.28 crore.
The foreign funds were net purchasers at Rs 143.6 crore ($ 32.9 million) in the debt market for the period under review, according to the data available with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in Mumbai.
The mutual funds were net purchasers in the debt market at Rs 742.38 crore.
Overseas funds were net sellers in equities on four trading days of the week.
The foreign funds recorded highest net outflow of the trading week in equities at Rs 173.20 crore ($ 39.70 mn) on May 12.
FIIs registered a net outflow of Rs 103.10 crore ($ 23.60 mn) in the debt market on May 13.
MFs recorded highest net purchases in the equity market on May 9 when they purchased equity worth Rs 213.38 crore. They purchased shares to the tune of Rs 162.28 crore on May 12.
MFs were the highest purchasers in the debt market on May 10 at Rs 283.87 crore.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) during the week under review, saw the Sensex gaining 0.99 per cent to close at 6,451.54 points.
