BSE: Sensex ends marginally higher by 12 points
In range-bound trading, the Sensex today (May 12, 2005) rose further marginally by 11.69 points to close at 6456.82 on renewed buying at the stock exchange, Mumbai (BSE).

'Infosys to offer shares to Japanese investors'
Software major Infosys has filed a registration statement with Japan's Finance Ministry to enable investors in Japan to participate in its sponsored American Depository Receipts (ADR) against existing shares in the Indian market.

SAP doubles India's SMB customers in 2004 to 75
German enterprise software maker SAP AG today (May 12, 2005) said it has doubled its small and medium business (SMB) customers in India to 75 in 2004, and has added 30 new ones in the first three months this year.

'No link between Jet IPO & grant of flying rights'
Rebutting a parliamentary panel's observations that Jet Airways had been granted flying rights on certain international routes to help its IPO (Initial Public Offer) prospects, the Civil Aviation Ministry today (May 12, 2005) said there was no link between the two issues and no need for any probe as all due processes were followed while giving permission to the airline.

BSE: Sensex rises by 23 pts during early trading
The Sensex today (May 12, 2005) started almost flat, but recovered by 22.75 points on fresh bouts of buying at the opening session on the Bombay Stock exchange (BSE).

Tata Steel plans to set up steel plant in Jharkhand
Tata Steel is planning to set up a new three million tonne plant in Jharkhand as part of its proposed 10 million tonne expansion programme at an expenditure of about Rs 6,500 crore, Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda said in Jamshedpur last night (May 11, 2005).
