Bangalore:
Professional Open Source company JBoss Inc, today (May 4, 2005) announced the opening of India office in Bangalore as part of plans to establish foothold into the Asian market.
The expansion comes as the company scales to meet growing enterprise customer demand for the JBoss (R) enterprise Middleware system in the Asia market, a company statement said.
"With this key office, JBoss can more effectively deliver services, including 24x7 production support and training, to customers," the statement said.
The company's Chairman and CEO Marx Fleury said the expansion underscores the immense market opportunity in Asia and the emerging business the company is already winning in the region.
The company said the Bangalore office would be critical to JBoss' 24x7 production support business and would provide the company with a launch pad into the booming software development market in the region.
JBoss has appointed Subramaniam Satyamoorthy as director of operations and service.
The JBoss India office will also focus on recruiting local partners like Softpro Systems, a premier JBoss Authorised Service Partner based in Hyderabad, to join its network of over 60 authorised service delivery, software, and technology partners worldwide.
"Together, JBoss and its partner network will promote Professional Open Source as a safe choice for enterprises and the public sector across the Asia Pacific region," the statement said.
