New Delhi: Faced with rising input costs, Maruti Udyog Ltd today (May 2, 2004) effected a price hike, including on the popular 'Alto' model, but made no changes in the prices of entry-level car 'M800' and multi-utility 'Gypsy'.

The 'Alto LX' has become dearer by Rs 1,906 to Rs 2,77,908 while the mid-size 'Baleno' saw the maximum price increase at 0.72 per cent. The 'Baleno LXi' price will now be up by Rs 4,138 to Rs 5,79,073.
