ABB India Q1 net up 63 per cent at Rs 27.5 crore
Power equipment major ABB India today (Apr 14, 2005) posted a 63 per cent jump in first quarter net profits at Rs 27.5 crore over Rs 16.9 crore reported between January and March 2004.

Large participation from buyers for Fashion Week
Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), the apex body of the Indian Fashion Industry today (Apr 14, 2005) announced that over 60 International buyers from 12 countries, along with 90 domestic buyers will participate at Lakme India Fashion Week (LIFW) 2005 from April 20 - 26, 2005 at The Grand, New Delhi. The mega event is awaiting confirmation during the next one week from many more serious buyers.

IGATE posts net profits of Rs 21.2 crore for FY 05
IT services firm iGATE Global Solutions Limited has posted net profits of Rs 21.2 crores for the year 2004-05, a jump of over Rs 8 lakhs reported in the previous fiscal.

Infosys reports 52.11 per cent jump in net profit
Software major Infosys Technologies today (Apr 14, 2005) reported a net profit of Rs 1891.67 crore during 2004-05, a jump of 52.11 per cent over Rs.1243.63 crore posted in the previous fiscal and announced that it would cross the $ 2 billion mark in the current fiscal.

IMF advises India to reduce its budgetary deficit
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) yesterday (Apr 13, 2005) advised India to reduce the ten per cent budgetary deficit of the Central and State Governments, saying this is needed to find funds for necessary infrastructure.
