Infosys Technologies Limited has invited nominations to the 'Infosys-Education World young achievers award', instituted to recognise and reward talented young individuals in areas such as arts, science, music, sport, academics, technology and social work.
Eight of the best candidates (four each in the junior and senior categories) will be short-listed from the entries and invited to make a presentation to the jury in Bangalore. From these eight finalists, two young achievers will be selected for the award, a company statement said.
N R Narayana Murthy, chairman and chief mentor, Infosys Technologies said that, through this award, "we hope to recognise the hard work and commitment shown by young individuals across various fields and reward their achievements".
Students in the junior category (below 18 years) as well as the senior category (between 19-29 years) can be nominated by their parents, teachers of friends, it said.
