New Delhi:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today (Apr 5, 2005) chaired the meeting of the full Planning Commission to discuss the Mid-Term Appraisal (MTA) of Tenth Plan.
The MTA includes over 50 recommendations in focus areas like health, education, rural development, agriculture and infrastructure aimed at achieving targets set in the National Common Minimum Programme in the remaining two years of the Plan.
The appraisal, prepared by the Commission, is a sectoral analysis and a review of the progress made by the programmes under the Tenth Plan.
The about 300-page document would also set the tone for the 11th five year plan.
