Infy announces IMS practice for DNV certification

Bangalore: Infosys Technologies Limited announced today (Mar 21, 2005) that its Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) practice has been recommended for the BS15000 certification by Det Norske Veritas (DNV).

Infosys' IMS practice provides IT service management for clients world-wide and its services include process consulting data centre management, technical support and application support services, a company statement said.

The BS15000 certification has helped the IMS practice build mature processes that ensure consistent and predictable service delivery for Infosys customers, Ms Priti Rao VP and Head, IMS practice, Infosys Technologies said.

BS15000 is the only worldwide certification aimed at IT service management and describes an integrated set of management processes for the effective delivery of services to the business and its customers.

During the BS15000 audit, the Infosys IMS practice was commended for its knowledge management framework and project health review practices, it said.
