Bangalore: The 1st Regional Student Recruitment Fair under the banner of GETEX - the Global Education & Training Exhibition will be held from February 26 to 28 2005, at the Taj Residency in Bangalore.

Several International Universities will be represented at this exhibition, offering hundreds of higher education options specifically targeting students and working adults. This is an opportunity for students and professionals to meet with academic professionals from over 15 countries and to explore various options of study, both regionally and aboard. Students can evaluate courses and curricula offered, scholarships provided and career paths, a release said.

GETEX 2005, an extension of GETEX - Dubai, Asia's largest Student Recruitment Exhibition will be hosted by International Conferences and Exhibitions (IC&E) and supported by Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

"The Indian region is evolving in the area of higher education with the best breed of international universities, and students are vying to become global managers," said Anselm Godinho, managing director, IC&E, the organizer of the event.

From MBA Courses, Training and Human Resources Management, Business Management, IT & e-Learning, and Healthcare & Engineering Education, the exhibition will encompass the full spectrum of subject offerings. The exhibition will reflect India's dynamic educational environment and the future trends in the sector.

"GETEX 2005 will provide participants with opportunities not only to showcase their latest courses but also to meet with other leading universities from both the Asia-Pacific and global community to forge partnerships and take part in constructive alliances," he added.

The Gulf Education and Training Exhibition has already had 16 successful annual shows in Dubai and is venturing into two new global regions under the new title of The Global Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX).
