After establishing its position in the domestic market, Hero Mindmine, the training solution company of the Hero Group, is planning to venture into overseas market with opening of corporate training centres in select countries in the Gulf and the Asia Pacific region.
The company is also planning to venture into the US and UK markets for providing its development and content services and customised training modules.
"We have started looking at overseas market to expand our training business. The present focus is on Middle East and the Asia Pacific markets where we plan to begin our skill building programmes," managing director and CEO, Hero Corporate Services Limited, Sunil Kant Munjal, told reporters.
He said that company's international business would be a significant contributor to its revenues over the next five to 10 year period.
Munjal refused to give investment details for Hero Mindmine's overseas foray but said the company was in advanced stage of negotiations with local training companies in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and China to set up its corporate training centres.
Already, Hero Mindmine has started a pilot project in Oman where it has tied up with Bahwan Cybertek to set up corporate training centres.
The company has also tied up with few firms in the UK for provision of packaged training solutions and is negotiating for similar deals in the US.
"The global learning outsourcing market provides us with immense opportunities to expand our business. The success of our venture in India has given us the confidence to expand our overseas business," said Asheesh Gupta, business head of Hero Mindmine.
He said that as part of the growth initiatives the company has already created three distinct business streams - Enterprise Learning Solutions, BPO learning Solutions and Education and Career Services.
Hero Mindmine has also appointed a high profile advisory board to aid the company to prepare training solutions suited to the need of the industry.
The advisory board has members like HDFC chairman Deepak Parekh, Infosys chairman and chief mentor N Narayana Murthy, director general CSIR R A Mashelkar, Max Group chairman Analjit Singh, Wipro Spectarmind CMD Raman Roy.
Hero Mindmine is currently located in 18 different cities across the country.
