Dendrite to double Indian team to 300 by December
Tuesday, January 11 2005 16:57 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Bangalore: Dendrite Software, a US-based software firm focused on solutions for the pharma industry plans to nearly double its strength at its India development centre in Bangalore to 300 from the existing 165 engineers by December.

"The software development centre team in Bangalore will reach 300 by the end of this year to serve both our global operations as well as Indian clients," Dendrite International Senior Vice President Marc Kustoff told reporters in Bangalore today (Jan 11, 2005).

He said the India centre started about a year and half ago has 165 professionals supporting the global software operations, besides developing the made-to-India application for Indian pharma firms.

The million-dollar Dendrite did not divulge investment plans for the Indian market.

Kustoff said, 'Mobile Intelligence', a web-based sales automation software application, had been designed for the Indian market to be sold at a lower price point than existing packages.

"There are about one lakh medical sales people, we are looking at about 10 per cent of them in two years," he said.
