Bangalore: Logica CMG's offshore services business in the city has achieved the Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 5 certification (staged representation).

The assessment was carried out by KPMG, one of the world's leading assessment bodies, it said in a statement.

CMMI is a single framework of standards that guide an organisation to improve quality and reduce software development costs by using reliable and repeatable processes.

SEI-CMMI level 5 is the highest level of maturity in the world in the SEI-CMMI scale, it was noted.
