Bangalore: IT major HP today (Dec 23, 2004) claimed it has a 44.5 per cent share in terabytes of the total disk storage market in India during the third quarter of 2004.

HP, quoting market research firm IDC said that it has recorded a 29.3 per cent revenue share and 40 per cent share in capacity of the external disk storage market in India.

According to IDC, HP had a share of 30.7 per cent of the total network storage market in terms of revenue, it said in a statement.

HP did not disclose the revenues it earned nor the number of units it sold in the third quarter ended December.
